Order Direct to the Farm!

If you live in North Park Slope or Prospect Heights, you can now buy direct from farmers and other food producers online. Pick up in the New York Naturals health food store at 253 Flatbush Avenue , or get it delivered!

Like this:

1. If you are a new customer, first create an account. If you are an existing customer, then log yourself in.

2. Buy items from the shopping cart on this site at least two days before the pickup date. The pickup date is when we meet with the farmer to pick up your order. Pickup days are Wednesdays and Saturdays (Note: at the moment some items are only available on one or the other pickup days).

We pass your order directly to the food producer, in most cases before the food has been prepared or harvested. (That's why we need two days - two days gives Jay Dines enough time to chase down a chicken for you or for Alex Villani to get in his boat and go out and catch what you've ordered!)

The next pickup days available are listed at the top of every page.

3. We meet directly with the farmer on Wednesdays and Saturdays to pick up your order.

4. Pick up your order in the store after 12 Noon on the pickup day (free) or have it delivered (delivery fee). This service is for the purpose of providing the freshest possible food - orders which aren't picked up within 48 hours are discarded without refund!

Items that are sold by the pound will usually have a small extra amount due at pickup time due: the difference between what you've ordered and what the farmer actually measured out. (For example, it is difficult to cut exactly one pound of fish, it will usually be a little over to make sure you've got as much as you've ordered). The extra amount can be paid at pickup/delivery time and won't be more than 10% of the price you paid for the item online.

The prices on this site are the exact same price as the Farmer's Market price. We are not marking anything up and the farmer gets 100% of the price you pay. For this reason our usual free delivery policy doesn't apply, except for regular delivery customers, or for orders which include an additional phone order from the store.
